Talk to the World - for discussion on Race Relations : How Do We Interact with Each Other - MultiColor World or Boring Grey ?

You, the community and other Races ??
Dearest friends

Thanks to all of you for discussing this important issue.
We must note that India has had to deal with race relations since times immemorial. India is a mosaic of different races which have merged quite harmoniously in past thousands of years of gradual fusion.

Indian people are mostly very tolerant however we do have a a large number of people with very rigid and inflexible views on people of different races.
To say Indians are less or more racists than Chinese or Europeans or Africans is foolish as this is mainly an individual attitude than a collective one.

Your opinions are welcome.
Any new suggestions and ideas are most solicited.

I do not know if anyone is still posting to this list, but in case anyone from previous posting are reading...

In my opinion, numerous individuals have only proven many bad points said by other individuals. Just as a side note, I am an American "white" girl who is engaged to a wonderful man from India.

Generalizing a group of individuals only shows your ignorance. So many people (Indians)have been against my fiance and I getting married simply because I am American and I will "leave him in a few years" or "I am taller then him and will drain him" or best yet because our "charts do not match". Americans have been against my pending marriage stating that when I go to India I will be "captured and never to return" or my children "stolen and brought to India for me to never see again." or "he will beat me". All bogus alligations.

I for one do not understand all this hatred. My fiance and I pray for our marriage to only hope it will occur. We have been through hell just to be together due to opposition from all sides. I see my friends with their "loved ones" who can not even respect one another.

In terms of "Indians having marbles in their mouths" that is the biggest bullshit statement I have ever heard. My aunt thinks my fiance has a beautiful voice (she has never met him, only spoken over the phone).

The comment that Americans can not work in the IT industry - that is ludicrous as well.

There are intelligent people everywhere, and their are less intelligent people everywhere. It makes no difference where you are from.

Bottom line is, both cultures have bad as well as good points. Too bad people can not just get over it and get along.

people of all races should be allowed to hold thier own opinions. if someone wants to marry a foreigner, then their decision should be respected by not only the friends and relatives, but also the whole community.if we truly marry for love, then race shouldn't matter.
we're all human aren't we?

What books do you suggest?
Those written by blacks? the most racist drivel ever heard?
It is amazing that blacks claim to have done all these things everywere, but there never has been one example of so called black civilisation anywere in africa except when some one else built it.
If your so capable how come you haven't got anything to show for it in africa?
The most successful black country, south africa, was built by whites.
India was a civilisation and a power in the past becasue of indians.
This fact wont change no matter what some jew inspired affirmative action black thinks.
Take your books and stuff them in the darkest place on earth, a niggers arse.

Now take that and stick it up your sorry ass while you claim Indians have done so much. Indians have had their own land long enough now to demonstrate their true intelligence. This is something to consider, these people may not have much influence but with what has happened in new york that could change.

THE AMERICAN SCENE
White Supremacist Women Push for Greater Role in Movement

By JIM NESBITT
c.1999 Newhouse News Service

America's white supremacists are in the middle of a powerful transition, and Lisa Turner embodies one of the strongest forces of change buffeting the movement.

Turner is college-educated, savvy about the power of the Internet, adamant about women having a voice in the cause that has captured her passionate commitment and articulate about her core beliefs.

Those beliefs include the conviction that Adolf Hitler was a great man, that the Holocaust was an overblown fraud, that Christianity is a "pernicious and poisonous" doctrine concocted by Jews to shackle the white race, and that whites are at the top of nature's hierarchy and should dominate the world.

She won't give her age or profession or have her picture taken. But Turner, who lives near Sacramento, Calif., wants the world to know that today's white supremacist doesn't always wear a hooded robe, isn't a poorly educated redneck loser and, increasingly, may be a highly motivated woman entering the movement because of her own beliefs, not those of a husband or boyfriend.

"We feel like we're a new wave of pro-white activists, and that we shouldn't be pigeonholed. Pro-white has become synonymous with trailer trash and dysfunctional people, and it's time for us to let people know that we're your neighbors, we're your co-workers, we're educated, we're professionals," said Turner, who established the Women's Frontier section of the Web site for the World Church of the Creator, a white supremacist religious organization based in East Peoria, Ill.

Turner represents several generational trends in the white supremacy movement that experts say are creating an unstable transition period:

-- An increasing number of women are following Turner's lead and demanding a shoulder-to-shoulder role with men, representing an important cultural shift away from the traditional, male-dominated view of women as "Aryan breeders" who should play a passive role and provide food and comfort to their racial warriors. Experts estimate women now make up a quarter of the membership of many white supremacist organizations and up to half the new recruits. And they aren't just wives or girlfriends following their men.

-- The white supremacy movement is growing more decentralized and fragmented, making its adherents even harder to track and its groups harder to infiltrate.

-- The Internet is both a prime reason for this decentralization and a primary indicator of the rising number of women. It is also the main link between domestic white supremacists and overseas racists, resulting in an international focus known as "pan-Aryanism."

-- A new generation of leaders like former Alabama Ku Klux Klan leader Don Black and World Church of the Creator leader Matthew Hale are seizing the power of the Internet to either build up organizational muscle or entirely bypass the traditional reliance on group structure, membership lists and a charismatic leader to get the message out.

-- Although anyone can use the Internet to sample the beliefs of any white supremacist group, the movement's leaders are no longer moving into the political mainstream, largely because politicians like Pat Buchanan are addressing issues the movement deems important, like gun control, curbs on affirmative action and immigration reform.

As leaders of an older generation of white supremacists die or age, the pre-eminence of male-dominated and hierarchical organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and the neo-Nazi Aryan Nations is eroding, experts say.

Also, the dominant racist religion, Christian Identity, which teaches that whites of Anglo-Saxon descent are the true Chosen People of God, is now sharing the stage with other creeds that aren't based on Christianity and don't emphasize traditions that limit the role of women.

The other creeds include Odinism, which features a worship of Norse gods, and Turner's own World Church of the Creator, an anti-Christian, anti-Semitic belief system which teaches that whites are on top of nature's "food chain," where they rightfully dominate the world's plant and animal life as well as all other races. The World Church of the Creator denies the existence of a god (nature itself is "the Creator") and teaches that hate is a virtue.

All of these trends create fertile ground for racist groups that are less hidebound by tradition, doctrine and top-down command structure, such as the various manifestations of the skinhead movement. Skinhead groups such as the Confederate Hammerskins of Dallas and the American Front of San Francisco are violent anarchists by nature and have a history of being led and organized by women, said Mark Hamm, a professor of criminology at Indiana State University and author of "American Skinheads."

Free-agent "racialism" is also on the rise, thanks to the Internet.

"The trend is toward decentralization," said Black, who now lives in West Palm Beach, Fla., and runs Stormfront, the pioneer white supremacist Web site. "Anyone can work to promote our ideas without being a member of any organization. I used to be annoyed by people who didn't join my organization, but I see the advantage now."

Said Brian Levin, a criminal justice professor at the University of California at San Bernardino: "There's this complete decentralization now, with these hate entrepreneurs popping up all over the Net. ... Forget looking for a new generation of leaders. The new leadership is the ideology and the technology itself. There's less of a need for a charismatic leader to propagate the message. There's an alternative route out there. All hate is local, now."

Levin is particularly worried about the potential impact of Internet- generated hate messages on alienated youth, pointing to the massacre at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., as a graphic example of how the movement's message can shape the hate and anger of teens.

"The hate packages out there are particularly appealing to young people," he said. "It's cool and hip and it gives them a validation for the violence and rage they feel. The ideology they'll pick up later."

Decentralization meshes perfectly with the tactical teachings of former Texas Klansman Louis Beam, now "ambassador-at-large" for Aryan Nations. Beam advocates "leaderless resistance," a deliberate distancing of those providing the ideological underpinning of the white supremacy movement from those who decide to practice "the prophecy of the deed," a violent act.

Meanwhile, there has been a reversal of the trend toward mainstreaming the less overtly racist leaders and issues of the far right fringe of American politics, said Ken Toole, executive director of the Montana Human Rights Network, a civil rights watchdog based in Helena.

Part of this trend can be explained by the carnage of the Oklahoma City bombing, which blunted the spread of the militia movement. Experts consider the militias to be a gateway to harder-edged white supremacist and anti-government groups despite its lack of an overtly racist message. The co-opting of less noxious elements of the far right's political message by mainstream politicians like Buchanan, who staunchly opposes immigration, free trade and gun control, has also chopped away the mainstream potential of far right leaders like David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klansman turned perennial Louisiana political candidate.

As a result, Toole said, such figures as Duke, Bo Gritz, the former Green Beret and Populist Party presidential candidate, and John Trochmann, head of the Militia of Montana, have been forced to turn back to their old bases of support. Trochmann, for example, works gun shows and survivalist seminars instead of legislative sessions.

"We're seeing a lot less of the mainstreaming that we were seeing before the Oklahoma City bombing," Toole said. "At the same time, we're seeing a younger, edgier leadship emerge. There's a lot up for grabs now, and there are a lot of powerful players willing to cross lines and connect with various group views."

Black has been at the forefront of the white supremacist movement's fervent embrace of the Internet. He started Stormfront in 1995 and now runs a server that hosts 30 other racist Web sites. Stormfront, according to Black, averages 2,500 hits daily.

The Internet shortcircuits the need for a charismatic leader to spread the message of a white supremacy group and makes obsolete older methods of spreading the word, said Black.

It also offsets the self-destructive infighting that often undermines Klan, neo-Nazi and skinhead organizations, said Black. And it allows people who wouldn't join a Klavern or neo-Nazi cell to anonymously participate in racist discussions, vent views they wouldn't dare voice at work or in their community and sample the ideological messages of a wide range of racist groups.

"The majority of people helping us don't want to join a group and have no intention of doing so," Black said. "They're in the corporate world. They're doctors and lawyers. There's going to have to be a lot of help from people within the system who are disenchanted with that system."

Although some white supremacists scoff at these closeted "Net Nazis," the Internet did provide an entry ramp into the movement for Janice, a 44-year-old single mother of three who is a fashion accessory designer living in the Pacific Northwest. She declined to give her last name or residence and agreed to be interviewed by e-mail and telephone.

"We are your neighbors, your co-workers, we are everywhere," she wrote in response to a reporter's written questions. "A lot of time, we keep quiet unless we feel it is `safe' from the witch-hunt. That is one of the reasons I'm glad there is the Internet, we have a way to find each other and stay in touch."

Janice works as a cyber-volunteer for Black, monitoring the Stormfront message board and chat room and maintaining her own Web site for women white supremacists. She says she is non-violent and doesn't hate other races; instead she emphasizes "white pride" and separation of the races. She favors strict immigration controls and opposes affirmative action.

She has also taken her first step from behind the veil of cyberspace, submitting an application to join the National Alliance, a neo-Nazi organization headed by William Pierce, author of "The Turner Diaries," a novel about an American race war that has become a "bible" for violence-prone white supremacists and anti-government zealots.

"I realize I am coming out of the background where it is safe, but someone has to come out and speak," she wrote.

For some white supremacists, an Internet chat room is no substitute for joining a group, going to meetings and having a certificate to hang on the wall. They want a sense of belonging to something. And for some leaders, the Internet is the ultimate recruiting tool.

"Ultimately, in order to win, we believe there has to be one organization leading the way and one leader leading that organization," said Hale, leader of the World Church of the Creator. "I don't think there's an absolute substitute to hearing someone's voice. Certainly, though, the days of going to a parking lot and placing fliers on cars is not the only way to go in the white racial movement. It's much easier to put a flier in someone's computer."

The World Church of the Creator rocketed to national attention when former member Benjamin Nathaniel Smith went on a deadly rampage across Illinois and Indiana. Smith's shooting spree ended July 4 when he took his own life after killing two, including former Northwestern University basketball coach Ricky Birdsong, who was black, and wounding six Orthodox Jews leaving a synagogue.

Turner styles this transition period as a tug-of-war between those who favor structure and those who favor the untethered actions of the loner.

"It's in big flux, a schism between the lone wolf advocates and organizational advocates," she said. "With the millennium approaching, there's a sense of unease about what's next on the horizon."

Although reliable numbers on membership in the white supremacy movement are always elusive, Black thinks the number of women appearing in Stormfront chat rooms provide a good indication of the rising participation of women. He estimates between a third to a half of such participants are women. He says a third of the members of his organization are women.

For the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan of Harrison, Ark., having women in key leadership roles is nothing new. When Duke was national director of this Klan in the late 1970s and early '80s, he actively recruited women members, said Thomas Robb, the current national director.

One of Robb's top lieutenants is Rachel Pendergraft, 30, a mother of three who gave birth to a son earlier this month. Her parents both were Klan members, and she joined when she was 16.

"Women have always been welcomed into the Klan, but I think that women today are getting more involved in just about everything and that crosses over into the racialist movement," said Pendergraft, who describes herself as a white separatist. "Our thoughts and contributions are desperately needed, and some of the other groups out there are beginning to see that."

Giving women a more active role in the white supremacy movement is a matter of necessity and survival, said Hale.

"Now it's do or die for the white race," he said, "and we can't afford to fight with one hand tied behind our back. We won't win while hopping on one leg."

Even older white supremacists such as Tom Metzger, 61, leader of the Southern California-based White Aryan Resistance, advocates a measure of gender equity.

But in the chat rooms of Stormfront and other racist Web sites, there are signs of strong resistance to the rise of women and the less hierarchical and doctrinaire approach of the new organizations. Hamm, the Indiana State expert on skinheads, notes there is still a cadre of leaders in their 30s and 40s who prefer the traditional doctrines of white supremacy.

Turner, who describes herself as a petite, blue-eyed woman of German and Swedish ancestry, with reddish-blonde hair, started on the path toward white supremacist belief in the 1980s, while living in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California and getting active in the immigration reform movement.

She blamed the nation's immigration problems on a Jewish cabal that controls America's economic and political structure. She read Hitler's "Mein Kampf" and considered herself a National Socialist -- a Nazi. She also read the works of Ernst Zundel, a Canadian who insists the Holocaust is an overblown fraud. In the mid-1990s, she joined Hale's World Church of the Creator.

Although women may be shouldering their way into more activist roles in the white supremacist movement, Turner emphasizes they are not feminists. She dismisses feminism as another Jewish conspiracy designed to tear apart the family structure of whites.

"We're not here to challenge nature's order; we think that nature's highest calling for women is to be a wife and mother," said Turner, who is unmarried and has no children. "We're simply saying that women should have a leadership role, if they choose. They should be heard."

And if a woman has to pick up a gun, so be it, she says.

"We would defend our homes, our families, our men, if it comes to that," said Turner. "I don't advocate violence, but I consider myself a revolutionary and we think that if things don't get better, if the grievances of white people aren't addressed, if we're not listened to, then there will be horrible acts of violence."

Do Blacks Owe Jews Reparations?
Michael Savage
Monday, Jan. 8, 2001
The Third Wave leftist hoaxsters are pushing "reparations" for slavery. Now, slavery ended in the U.S. 130 years ago. There is no black person (born in the U.S.) who was ever a slave. There is not a living white person (born in the U.S.) who ever owned a slave. Yet the hoaxsters push their newest "Big Lie"?
Using their Marxist "Animal Farm" thinking caps, they argue that all blacks suffered as a result of slavery, that they were permanently damaged by the institution of slavery, and that there is no statute of limitations on such a crime against (black) humanity.

Putting aside all other considerations for the sake of brevity and accepting such premises, let us reason together.

While Jewish people alive today did not directly endure slavery, their ancestors did, building the pyramids of Egypt and such. Since the legalistic hoaxsters argue against statutes of limitations for claims going back over one century past, why not go back 50 centuries and have all Jewish people make claim for reparations against all Egyptians?

And, not to disrespect revisionist black "historians" who claim the great pyramids and other Egyptian discoveries and creations were made by black Africans (not by Semitic Egyptians), we can ask for reparations from the NAACP and other black supremacist organizations.

How about it, John Conyers?
